Twinges, Cricks & Cramps (those annoying aches and pains) - Free workshop

The run up to exam time is stressful enough without pain putting a spanner in the works. Unfortunately what we do to ourselves while studying, such as prolonged periods sitting at desks and computers, can lead to a myriad of problems such as back pain, neck and shoulder pain, headaches, tennis elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome. Join Osteopath Siobhán Doran as she explains why these problems occur and what you can do to prevent or alleviate them.

Two part course. Booking required.

Free Laughter Yoga

Laughter Yoga with Siobhán Kavanagh

Laughter Yoga is an aerobic exercise which involves yogic breathing exercises, games, movement, laughter exercises and guided meditation. It has been found to reduce stress levels, increase mood and increase productivity. Laughter Yoga reminds us that anyone can laugh for no reason, without relying on external stimulus or even a sense of humour. If a session of fun and laughter is something you would like to try, this workshop is for you! No need to book.

 When: Thursdays 8pm – 10pm
Starts 19th September

Venue: Áras na Mac Léinn

Free Assertiveness Training

Assertiveness Training with Breda Moore

Would you like to be able to: deal with people and situations with confidence? resist manipulation and cope with criticism? get your point across but not at the expense of others? be able to negotiate and reach workable compromises? say ‘no’ without feel-ing guilty? have self-respect and respect for other people?

How you interact with others can be a source of considerable stress in your

life. Assertive-ness training can reduce that stress by teaching you to stand up

for your legitimate rights, without bullying others or letting them bully you.

Participants will receive a certificate – something good to include in the CV!
