Tips for Staying Healthy on campus - Food & Water

Here's the first of a series of tips for staying healthy on campus, put together by Cindy Dring of Student Services Health Promotion

Eat a balanced diet and drink plenty of water

Healthy eating is important to ensure that you can make the most of college life. It can affect your ability to concentrate, your memory, your moods, and your energy levels. Eating a balanced diet can seem difficult, with nutritional recommendations changing all the time. Or you may hear conflicting advice. And everybody is different, so one size doesn’t necessarily fit all when it comes to diet.  If you are coming here from another country, many of the foods you are used to having at home may not be available here, so you will need to discover new ways of eating. If you are not sure just what a balanced diet is, or if you just want to check if improvements could be made in your diet, contact the Health Promotion office in Áras ní Éimhigh.
