Tips for Staying Healthy on Campus - physical activity

Here's the third of a series of tips for staying healthy on campus, put together by Cindy Dring of Student Services Health Promotion

Find a physical activity you enjoy and do it regularly
If you want to feel better, have more energy and live longer, look no further than regular, old-fashioned, sweat-inducing exercise.

By introducing at least 30 minutes of moderate activity into your daily life, you can significantly improve your overall health, well-being and quality of life. And the health benefits can be achieved by virtually everyone, regardless of age, sex, race or physical ability.

The merits of exercise — ranging from preventing chronic health conditions such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease, to boosting your confidence and self-esteem — are hard to ignore.  You’ll also sleep better and prevent depression.
